My Own Musical Background
So I know I have been talking a while now about what I love in music and what styles I like, and what people I like, etc, but now I would like to tell you a little about my past in musical background. Which is very intense indeed. I'm kidding. So growing up I was always more in to sports, I played soccer for 7 years, and in sixth grade played basketball, track, soccer, and baseball all in the same year. I high school I did track. But that's not to say I never tried my hand at my musical side. In 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, I was in the school Orchestra. Viola. I actually quite enjoyed it in Elementary school, but when I got into Junior high it was quite tiresome. I hated having to be ranked in school by how well you played (the better ones got to sit in front). I was okay, but it made me feel bad when you got pushed back etc. Then my teacher got angry at us all the time, so I started taking private lesson to do better and when she wasn't that considerate. I decided to quit all together. I remember I wanted to join Orchestra in the beginning because you got to go to Disneyland your senior year no matter what, but I couldn't hang on that long. I guess I was kind of lazy, but i never really enjoyed Orchestra. I have also been in some choirs which is fun. I love singing, I just don't know if I am any good, but it never hurts to blast it when no one is watching.

American Idol is taking over the world...

You know, I am surprised at how well contestant do after American Idol. I never used to watch it. I watched the second season, and then the last 2 seasons. But lots of stars right now have come from American Idol, like Kelly Clarkson of course, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, David Archuleta, Clay Aiken, and then my two favorites David Cook and Adam Lambert. I think Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood have done the very best. They are all really amazing singers, but I think Adam Lambert has a true talent. He can sing anything, he has his own style, and he an amazing range. Plus he is hot, but he's gay, but it's cool. I still think he should of won American Idol. He is a million times better than Kris Allen. Is it really because he is gay that he lost. I mean not to diss Kris Allen, he is a good singer, but definitely not as good as Adam so either American Idol rigged it or America doesn't want the best singer to win. Hmmm I wonder which it is? Anyway I still don't even like American I dol, but I like watching the people that suck, and then the amazing singers, but the rest of it is pure drama. I guess that sells though because it is the top watched tv show. Here is Adam Lambert's new music video:

Without sound?!?!?!?!?
Music is such a big part of people lives, that now some of the biggest TV shows involve singing and music. Think of all your favorite TV shows, they each have their own little opening with that same catchy song for each episode. Also in dramatic scenes and sad, etc, music is incorporated with all of this. Just think of your TV show and how boring it would be if there was just silence the parts that usually have music, but there was still talking, I don't think anyone would watch TV. Like in The Office, everyone knows that catchy tune. Now I am going to have it stuck in my head. Dooooo do do do doooo, okay that's enough. But you get what I mean. It's the same with movies, that is why they have soundtracks along with the movie, sometimes I like the soundtrack better than the movie. You probably don't even notice the music because you are so used to it. It's like muting the TV while you are watching it, you can't stand it you have to be able to listen to something. I dare you to try that, see for how long you can go with muting your TV during a movie, probably not if you haven't seen it before, but one that you know well. it will still drive you crazy. It seems to me that it is just a waste of time if you have nothing to listen to. So try it and get back to me. :)
