Kings of Leon

So this week I heard of a new band that I now love. If any of you watch the UK X Factor, you will know what I am talking about. So one of the contestants, Jamie Archer (Jamie Afro), performed "Sex on Fire", by the Kings of Leon. I have been singing that song constantly for the past 2 days and whenever I listen to Itunes or my Ipod, I have to constantly play that song over and over again. I have heard of the Kings of Leon before and their song "Use Somebody"; I liked that song, but never had the deep impression. Now I love all their songs, I can't get enough. They have that classic 70s/80s rocker feel and sensational, but surprising voices, but they are current. It's beautiful. I am such a big 80s and 70s fan because I love the music that was made back then, but now I can get that feeling with a current band. It seems they mix so many kinds of music together and so it attracts many different kinds of music lovers. They have a rocker feel, country twang, soft and inspirational and so on. I definitely recommend anyone that hasn't heard of them to listen to some of their songs.

MMMBop!

I know we have all heard of that 90s hit we have all secretly sung in the shower, but publicly loathed for our ego's sake, has now come back to haunt us in this blog. Of course we can't forget it's rise to stardom, sung by the brother three, Hanson. Did anyone notice how they all looked like the same person, but different ages? Reminds me kind of the Jonas Brothers. I never did have the Hanson crush like many teenage girls of the time. I think they were the ones who actually brought long hair as a new fashion trend to the younger generation boys. Only some can pull it off, I might add. But their songs still had that catchy tune I could not help but sing along to and later annoy others with, "Mmmbop, ba duba dop, Ba du bop, ba duba dop...". How many have seriously had that stuck in their head at least once? Okay, you are probably to scared to admit it. I notice I don't even listen to the song and I geet it stuck in my head randomly, then I have to listen to it. Oh it all brings back memories. Isaac, Taylor, and Zac, disappeared somewhere like most one-hit-wonder artists do. I think they are even trying to come back.... pause. I don't think people can come back into this scene and try and change their image, oh wait Justin Timberlake did, maybe it is possible. "Bye bye bye". That is for another time.
